satisfactory since the construct of the three domains
namely “satisfaction”, “impact” and “worry” had not
originally been derived from an assessment of its construct
validity.
Some efforts have been made for developing a
shorter version of DQoL instrument, and it was considered
as a brief version of DQoL instrument (Thomas et al.,
2004). However, the validation of the three main domains
was not covered. A recent publication on the overall
validation of DQoL had incorporated the function of the
three domains. Basically, the researchers reduced the
number of items and then validated the shorter version of
DQoL by using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA),
Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and RASCH analysis
(Bujang et al., 2018). Therefore, a reliable and valid shorter
version of DQoL has been successfully developed.
