          EARLY PREPARATORY

          MEETING FOR
          11TH NATIONAL QA
          CONVENTION 2022

A meeting was held between the Institute for

State Health Department team to discuss the early Initial meeting for the 11th National QA Convention 2022 with JKN PP
preparations required to organise our 11th National
QA Convention this year. The meeting was chaired
by Dr. Sondi Sararaks, the acting Director of IHSR.
The mode and scale of the convention this year
were extensively deliberated in view of the ongoing
pandemic. The team reached a consensus to
organise the convention physically but at a smaller
          scale this year.

Subsequent details on the date, venue, and
participation from the public and private sectors
were also further discussed. A discussion on the
value-adding features of the convention had also Enthusiastic attendees in the Initial meeting for the 11th National QA Convention
sparked, among the other topics discussed, such as 2022
the go-green and healthy & active lifestyle concepts that can be embedded throughout the convention. The background work
on venue identification, convention announcement, and project nomination process will be conducted prior to the first JK Induk
          Meeting in February 2022.

MEETING OF THE MAIN ORGANISING COMMITTEE FOR THE
          NATIONAL QA CONVENTION 2022

This meeting was chaired by Dr. Sondi
Sararaks, the acting Director of the Institute
for Health Systems Research (IHSR). The
meeting commenced with a keynote address,
welcoming all committee members to the
meeting. She also thanked Dr. Nor Zulaiha
Marsan from Penang State Health Department
(JKN PP) for agreeing to host the National QA

Rahim Abdullah from Malaysia Society for
Quality in Health (MSQH), as a collaborator for
the upcoming convention. The first Main Committee Meeting for the 11th National QA Convention 2022
The members of the meeting actively engaged in a four-and-a-half-hour discussion to decide on the fundamental elements of
the organization of the convention. These include the confirmation of the date and venue, tentative agenda, the overall concept
and theme of the convention, project nomination, Gantt chart, and also the new features to improve the added value of this year’s
convention. The meeting surely had served as a catalyst in expediting the behind-the-scenes work to make this year’s convention
          a reality.
