●  To  understand  who  are  the  prospective

          respondents and their level of prior knowledge

          and understanding of the subject matter


          First of all, researchers should not overestimate

          the  respondents’  capability  and  capacity  to


          provide appropriate responses to the questions

          in a questionnaire. Do not pose any questions


          that  are  beyond  the  respondent’s  ability  to

          comprehend and also do not over-estimate the


          knowledge  level  of  a  study  respondent.

          Secondly, it is  also necessary to refrain from


          making unfounded assumption(s). For instance,

          an elderly patient with type II diabetes may not
