Manpower Requirement
4 Family or Caregiver i. Identify caregiver for the patient. As far as
possible, more than one caregiver should
undergo Caregiver Training especially
nursing care and medication administration
to ensure patient’s comfort and to avoid
caregiver burnout.
ii. Arrange for necessary transport and
equipment at home.
iii. Return syringes/ unused medication to
pharmacy in Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
5 Community palliative i. Provide community palliative care services
care team such as home visit to patients’ residences
- Hospice which includes optimizing medication for

symptom control and psychosocial support.
ii. Provide resources such as oxygen
concentrator or hospital bed if available.
