To address this issue, our project aimed to develop a comprehensiveand user-friendly PPH kit to ensure that primary care clinics, especially in rural areas such as FeldaBersia, are well-equipped for PPH emergencies.METHODOLOGY:We conducted a thorough needs assessment, gathering input from a diverse group including three familymedicine specialists, two medical officers and nine nurses from health clinics in Hulu Perak. Focusgroups and surveys provided detailed feedback on the essential components and practical usability of thePPH kit. Based on this input, the kit was designed with critical supplies and medications. Additionally, astep-by-step guide for managing PPH was created. Training sessions ensured all healthcare providerswere proficient with the kit.RESULTS:Direct testing of the kit on actual cases was not feasible due to absence of cases. Instead, it was testedthrough case simulations. Feedback from nurses and medical officers indicated enhanced confidence andease in responding to PPH incidents. Notably, response and management time improved significantly, reducing from 20 minutes to 4 minutes from first contact to gathering all equipment.DISCUSSION:The PPH kit highlights the power of co-production, blending medical expertise to address emergencieseffectively. This collaborative approach has ensured both practicality and effectiveness, improvingmaternal care in Felda Bersia. Future efforts will focus on continuous improvement based on userfeedback and expanding distribution to other rural areas. Engaging more communities and refining this kitwill contribute to developing a sustainable model for improving maternal health outcomes inresource-limited settings.155 | Page
