Abnormal liver function tests have been reported from

the beginning.

It's usually transient in mild COVID-19 and does not require specific treatment beyond
supportive care. Patients with abnormal liver function can be as high as 53% and as low as 16%
but patients with severe COVID-19 has increased incidence of abnormal liver function.
