Prior to data collection, a training workshop was conducted for field supervisors and 133 newly appointed short term data collectors for the
13 states and three federal territories. The training workshops were conducted simultaneously for data collectors from Peninsular Malaysia
and Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah and W.P. Labuan) on 7 to 11 June 2022 at Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and Grand Continental Hotel, Kuching.
The aims of the training were to familiarise the data collectors with the questionnaire and develop good teamwork, as they were briefed on
the self-administered questionnaire module, followed by a mock role-play in the classroom. In addition, the issues and logistic problems from
the two previous similar surveys in 2012 and 2017 were also highlighted.
