MySafeTravel or MyQR by MyEG
The Malaysian government introduced MySafeTravel since 1st November
2020 to facilitate the entry of inbound travelers into Malaysia during the

With the convenience of transacting online through MySafeTravel, this
digital health pass system aided in speeding up the process of entering
Malaysia upon arrival, hence providing a smooth travel experience for these
travelers 75,76 . This helped the government’s efforts in reviving the interest
in visiting Malaysia among fellow travelers and rejuvenating the local
tourism, all while strictly following the government’s SOPs at all times.
8.7 COVID-19 Clinical Outcomes and Mortality
As of 22nd November 2020, there were 54,775 total positive cases, 41,597
total discharges, and 335 deaths . 65% of the positives cases were

people may die. Statistics have shown about 64% of the COVID-19 deaths
were aged 60 years and above, with about 87% of those deaths being
reported to have at least one underlying health condition .

Observing the severity trend, however, has revealed 6% of the total COVID-
19 cases (6,368) had developed severe stages of the disease requiring
oxygen supplementation; 3.7% of the total number of cases had required
ICU care, and 1.3% of the total cases in Malaysia had succumbed to the
