EVIDENCE-BASED RESPONSES TO THE THIRD COVID-19 WAVE IN MALAYSIA Launched since 20th April 2020, MySejahtera had registered 147
users and dependents, as well as 1,058,853 business premises .

Cumulatively, there were 1.7 billion check-ins to registered premises using
the QR code scan method, with an average of 15 million check-ins a day as
of 18th November 2020 . The MySejahtera app has been proven effective

in assisting MOH Malaysia in detecting 9,167 COVID-19 positive cases, of
which 1,561 cases were detected and confirmed to be COVID-19 positive
through self-assessment whereas the remaining 7,606 positive cases were
detected through close contact tracing via MySejahtera . The MySejahtera

data has been shared with District Health Offices to assist in their contact
tracing activities.
