DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION: The burden of Geriatric Syndromes among elderly population,
needs to be handled properly and must be identified early. Overall prevalence of Geriatric
Syndromes among elderly which almost reach 50%, really needs special attention from family
               members and policy makers.

INTRODUCTION: Although autism syndrome disorders (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental
disorders are not typically considered autoimmune diseases, however, autoantibodies (AA)
have been detected in the sera of patients with ASD, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
(ADHD), bipolar affective disorder and schizophrenia. AA are produced when tolerance to
self-antigens is broken down and they can act as mediators for tissue injury and systemic
inflammation. Hence, this study was conducted because AA are excellent biomarkers as they
are minimally invasive to screen and are highly abundant in serum.
METHODS: Thirty serum samples from autistic children and 30 serum samples from the
control group were subjected to a high-throughput identification of antigen-specific
autoantibodies using a protein array technique and multiplex immunoassay technique
consisting of over 1,600 human proteins.
RESULTS: Based on our findings, 78 putative biomarkers were identified in ASD using pFC
analysis (penetrance fold change (ASD) of > 1.25) with 14 out of 78 biomarkers are more
significant in ASD group than the control group. In addition, 5 biomarkers (E7, CBFB, PRC1,
MARK3 and P4HB) were only found in ASD group.
DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION: This pilot study showed that ASD was associated with
autoantibodies. Moreover, five biomarkers were found to be autism-specific. This method
can be used in identifying those who have autism symptoms in the early stages of diagnosis.
Furthermore, this technique does not require a large quantity of blood and the analysis can
               be done rapidly.

INTRODUCTION: With the rising cases of diabetes, the role of the diabetes educator (DE) is
critical for achieving a better outcome for diabetic patients. Lack of staff and heavy workload
caused DE to multitask and switch between the regular nurses' and DEs' roles. These resulted
in suboptimal time spent on diabetes care than what is ideal. Therefore, a conceptual
framework was developed to guide our study in exploring factors that contributed to the time
utilisation by DE for diabetic care and other tasks.
METHODS: The literature search was conducted through several online databases such as
PubMed, Google Scholar and Cochrane. The publications were reviewed to explore the
