RM 3.1 million fund from Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) for IMR

The Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) contributed RM3.1 million fund to IMR on 15th May 2020,
as part of their efforts in supporting eligible government agencies to finance healthcare equipment
during COVID-19 pandemic. The offer letter was presented by En Aziz Anuar, the Senior Vice President
of PNB to the IMR Director. IMR thanks and appreciates PNB for their gracious support towards the
fight against COVID-19.

National Stem Cell Registry Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Activities & Events
between IMR and National Cancer Council Malaysia

On the 10th of February 2020, a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between
Dr Hj Tahir Aris, the IMR Director and Pn Farahida Mohd Farid, the General Manager of National Cancer
Council Malaysia (MAKNA), was held at IMR, Setia Alam. The ceremony was attended by Mr Vemanna
Appanah, Deputy General Manager of MAKNA, Dr Feisul Idzwan Mustapha, Deputy Director for Non-
Communicable Diseases, MOH, Dr Masita Arip, Head of Malaysian Stem Cell Registry and officers of
the Allergy and Immunology Research Centre.
