The Specimen Management Information System (SMIS) team was invited by the Ministry of
Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) to participate in the Malaysia Commercialisation
Year (MCY) Summit 2020 on 17th and 18th December 2020. The summit’s theme was “Designing
Technologies for a Sustainable Future” with the objective to facilitate the penetration of local
R&D products and services into the market via appropriate commercialisation interventions. The
Specimen Management Information System won the Ministry of Health Special Innovation Award
for Innovation 2020 in conjunction with the Ministry of Health Innovation Day which was held on
26 March 2021 at Putrajaya.
