Many factors should be considered when selecting
the most suitable questionnaire to validate for adapting it
for a specific purpose of the new study. These include:
(i) whether it is a new or an old questionnaire,
(ii) cost of acquisition of the questionnaire (i.e.
whether it is available for free of charge or not),
(iii) the number of items or questions in the
questionnaire, and
(iv) the total citation counts of the questionnaire (i.e.
whether the questionnaire has been widely cited
or not).
