SPECIAL EDITION: BATTLING COVID-19

As of 23 July 2020, a total of 13 sessions of live webinars have been conducted and broadcasted live on various social media
websites every Thursday afternoon. A wide range of topics related to COVID-19 were covered, which are further described below:

Webinar 1: First Clinical Updates in COVID-19

Learning points and summaries of
clinical cases were presented by Dr
Suresh Kumar, Head of Infectious
Diseases in Hospital Sungai Buloh,
followed by a Q&A session on various
topics including clinical presentation,
diagnosis, management, monitoring,
universal protection (PPE), as well as
other miscellaneous issues such as
cytokine storm syndrome and dengue
fever in COVID-19.

Webinar 2: Treating COVID-19 Patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Learning points and summaries of clinical cases in ICU were presented by Dr Shanti Rudra Deva. This was followed by a panel
discussion session moderated by Datuk Dr Christopher Lee with Dr Shanti Rudra Deva and Dr Giri Shan Rajahram as the
guest panellists, focusing on management in critical care such as indications of intubation and extubation and protocols in
discharging COVID-19 patients from ICU.
