             Home Surveillance Order (HSO)




              9 Oct 2020: Screening activities in Sabah in full
              swing, with 7 EMCO districts. 3 new clusters - Atap
              (Sabah), Bah Lada (Perak) and Bah Sahabat
              (Terengganu) clusters.

              HSO MOH clarifies when HSO is given:
              1. Mild symptoms and do not meet the criteria for
                admission to the ward i.e. Patient Under
                Investigation (PUI); OR

              2. Asymptomatic but with epidemiological link e.g.  Source: MKN Sabah Facebook §
                close contacts to confirmed case i.e. Person
                Under Surveillance (PUS).


              Close contacts Individuals with direct contact with
              a confirmed COVID-19 case, including face-to-
              face encounters  < 1m or physical contact within
              14 days from the date of infection. This include:
                Healthcare workers who provided treatment
                WITHOUT complete PPE; OR
                Family members in same household; OR
                Person physically close (< 1m) e.g.        Source: MBPJ Facebook §
                office/classroom; OR
                Traveling together/sitting at close range (< 1m).


              Contacts Persons with contact with confirmed
              COVID-19 case but not identified as close
              contacts:
                Will NOT get an HSO,
                Will NOT need to wear wristband,
                Advised to undergo self-quarantine,
                Monitor own health status for 14 days,
                Practice health advisories issued by MOH.    §
