#ENTERING THE ENDEMIC PHASE
The Director General of Health Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Noor
Hisham Bin Abdullah visited the IMSURE data collection at Langkawi
supplied additional officers to be involved in the study as field
supervisors or phlebotomists. Other ministries and private
entities have also played crucial parts in facilitating the study.
Together with IMR, multiple serology tests were performed
to investigate the immunity response of vaccine recipients.
As of now, IMSURE has successfully steered follow-up for
nine months with the help of dedicated and trained MyStep
personnel. The study’s preliminary findings were presented
to the Crisis and Preparedness Response Centre (CPRC),
MOH and were shared with various stakeholders to initiate IMSURE Data Collection : Blood sample collection
evidence-based policy making regarding implementation
of immunization of COVID-19 vaccine to the Malaysian
population. Additional findings from this study will
continue to be disseminated to stakeholders and scientific
communities from time to time.
