Limitation









               We had a few limitations but this was in the early phase. Firstly, there was a lack of local
               suppliers   and   unavailability   of   local   production   for   laboratory   supplies   has   caused   a
               significant delay in securing adequate supply for the laboratories. Furthermore, the major
               laboratory supply producing countries are also affected by COVID-19 outbreak which makes
               the situation worse. For example, Korea, Germany and also Italy.

               Secondly, during the early phase of pandemic, there was a sudden increase in workload
               beyond   the   maximum   laboratory   capacity   and   the   limited   capacity   of   outsourcing
               laboratories,   has   caused   delay   in   laboratory   Turnaround   Time   (TAT)   for   testing.   This
               occurred after Epid week 12 where we had a cluster in a religious group at Sri Petaling.
               However, we managed  to overcome  the limitation  by upscaling  the country laboratory
               capacity.

               Few words before I end. We test, we manage and we must win. So that’s all. Pass back to
