Pathological changes of the lungs
Examination of the airway showed patent airway with minimal fluid inside the airways
not like the previous case or case number 1. The examination of the lung showed
pneumonic changes confined to the lower lobes of the lung whereas the upper lobes
showed aerated lung.
Histological examination of the lungs showed infiltration of neutrophils into the
interstitial and alveolar spaces, but for this particular case, no obvious cytopathic
effect detected from the tissues.
The kidneys for this case showed that this lady was having chronic kidney disease as
stated in her co-morbid history.
