Mortality Rate (by State)

Based on the mortality rate by states, the state with the highest mortality rate is Perlis

followed by Sarawak, Johor and Perak. Kuala Lumpur, the federal territory has high
mortality rates because KL has a few big hospitals like Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL),

UM Medical Centre, National Heart Institute (IJN) and UKM Medical Centre. Perlis is
a small state and the high mortality rate is because of the small number of positive
COVID-19 cases (small denominator).
