Hot Spots and Empowerment

4 May 2021: HIDE NSC on 1 May decides to implement the Hotspot Identification for
Dynamic Engagement (HIDE) system as a preemptive, targeted intervention tool

developed by CPRC. 1,660 locations are identified as "at risk" and have the potential to
turn into COVID-19 clusters, compared with 1,170 locations last week. § §

Hotspot Identi cation for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE)

           1. What is HIDE?
HIDE uses arti cial intelligence (AI) that predicts potential hotspots for transmission of
COVID-19 within 7 days. The analysis is made using data entered into MySejahtera as
           well as existing health databases.

           2. Why HIDE?
Findings from HIDE will facilitate targeted preliminary action to be implemented to curb
           the transmission of COVID-19.

HIDE will assist the authorities to implement preliminary measures to curb the spread of
COVID-19 in a more orderly and effective manner.
