in the study. This initiative received a good
response from the public.

Laboratory diagnostics/services

EHRC in collaboration with Engineering Service Divisions, conducted surveillance of Indoor
Air Quality (IAQ). The surveillance assessed the biological parameter, that is the total bacterial
and fungal counts and identification of fungi at Ministry of Health (MOH) premises. In 2020, the
premises assessed were:

Johor State Health Department Terengganu State Health Department
Perak State Health Department Kelantan State Health Department
Penang State Health Department Block E3, MOH, Putrajaya
Kedah State Health Department Block E7, MOH, Putrajaya
Pahang State Health Department Block E1, MOH, Putrajaya
Melaka State Health Department

EHRC also conducted identification of indoor fungi at NIH quarters as requested from the NIH
management.
