● Post-partum Depression
The most important group that we should be aware of are post-partum mothers, in
which they do not have the kind of support that they have before. Before COVID-19
pandemic, post-partum mothers would get a lot of help from outside as well as
visitors.
During MCO / CMCO, they are usually left alone, with their spouses having to work
most of the time, and they might not be able to obtain the support they need. This
may worsen their depressive symptoms.
I don’t see this as an indication in the increase of incidence of post-partum
depression, however this might increase the risk of new mothers having post-partum
depression.
