As most of the country is in Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan, we hope
beyond hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will be successfully contained
as we continue to live governed by the new norm. The National Institutes
of Health (NIH) successfully held 3 major events over the second half of the
year. They are the 14th National Conference for Clinical Research (NCCR) in
August, the NIH Research Month and the 22nd NIH Scientific Conference
which were both held in September. All these events were conducted
virtually, in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
given by the Malaysian National Security Council. The research month
featured many workshops, clinics, a symposium, virtual run and of Advisor 2
course the scientific conference itself. Both the NCCR and NIH Scientific Dr. S Asmaliza Ismail
Conference showcased posters and oral presentations conducted by
researchers from all over the country. Kudos to all those involved for your TABLE OF CONTENTS
excellent work in triumphantly executing these events against all odds!
