Management of ILI during COVID-19 pandemic

What is important is the management of the movement of the ILI patient in the

clinic. For patients presenting with ILI symptoms who are not PUI, how do we
               manage them during this pandemic?

For patients presenting with ILI symptoms, they are not allowed to enter our main
building. They are triaged, and they will be seen by doctors in the fever centre. The

doctors will assess the patient to see whether they are from the so-called “red zone
areas”. (Example: Kg Baru and Chow Kit are red zones for COVID-19 cases at that
time) If we have patients from these areas, we are more alerted, especially if they

sort of escaped from being screened by the PPKP.

We would ask these ILI patients whether they have

               ● any history of contact with COVID-19 patients and

               ● any signs and symptoms of moderate or severe illness.
