Diagram 5: Age is the most significant risk factor in COVID-19 disease

With regard to risk factors, the most significant risk factor is age. This is again data
from our database looking at age group versus severity of COVID-19 disease. You can

see that in the young age group, there is hardly anyone who gets severe disease. On
the other hand, if you look at somebody who is more than 81 years of age, 63 % of

them get severe disease. So, age by far is the most important risk factor for somebody
to get severe disease.
