ABOUT US
The Research Information Resources Sector (SSMP) under the Office of the NIH Manager has 14 staff divided into 4 sub-units: Collection Development, Special Collections Management, User/Researcher Services, and Digital Information Management. The SSMP acts as a center of excellence in providing resources and information services to support activities related to research, training, diagnostics, and advisory services to institutes within the NIH. In addition, SSMP also provides various facilities and helps users carry out library education programs by developing, strengthening, and managing the necessary library collections. It constantly strives to provide the best services and facilities in line with the circulation of information technology and current needs.

ACTIVITIES
Webinar session "Cite with Mendeley" was organized to help users effectively manage and reference their documents using Mendeley. Mohd Hazrul Mohd Hussin, a Senior Librarian from Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak, UiTM led the session to provide users with the necessary tools to seamlessly integrate references and bibliographies into their document storage
Information regarding Material Classification Number Published by Ministry of Health (MOH) was shared by Mrs. Norazlina Zainuddin, Librarian, NIH Library with State Health Department Kedah Darul Aman via google meet on 11th July 2023.
Speaker – Dr. Wong Woei Fuh from iGroup Asia conducted class “Tools and tips to unleash your research power using AI” for NIH researchers to enhance them in preparing grant proposals, get to know a research topic, and save time on literature review.
NIH Library organised “Malaysia Quran Hour” accordance with yearly global event called the World #QuranHour (WQH), where Muslims worldwide come together for an hour to connect with a chosen surah from the Quran.
The NIH Library invited Hj. Hushim Hj. Saleh, a well-known counsellor and motivational expert, to give a talk titled "Ceramah Kemerdekaan: Emosi dan Minda Merdeka" in honor of Malaysia's Independence Day
The MOH HQ Library, NIH Library, and Wiley conducted a Cochrane Library Webinar jointly. The webinar featured Mr. Fabio Di Bello, the Senior Customer Training Manager at Wiley, who guided users on utilizing Cochrane evidence in their daily practice.
